PM Modi China Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived on a visit to China after seven years, where he will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. This visit is taking place at a time when the tariff dispute between India and the US is deepening. Experts are considering it important in terms of India-China relations and global politics. The PM will meet the President of China tomorrow. PM Modi left for China directly after Japan.
On reaching Tianjin, the Prime Minister was welcomed with traditional Indian dance Kathak. The Indian expatriate community also looked very excited on this occasion. Modi's program in China will focus on the SCO summit to be held on 31 August and 1 September.
Special welcome in Tianjin
Prime Minister Modi was welcomed in a traditional manner in Tianjin, China. Kathak dancer Du Juan, also known as 'Sachita' in India, performed in honor of the Prime Minister. She said that it is a matter of pride for her that she is performing to welcome Modi after 12 years of sadhana.

Meanwhile, the Indian diaspora also became a part of this historic occasion. NRI member Makrant Thakkar said that he had met Modi in Shanghai in 2015 and now getting the opportunity to meet him again is very encouraging.
Possibility of meeting Putin and Xi Jinping
A major attraction of this tour will be the meetings of Prime Minister Modi. It is expected that he will hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
