WhatsApp Introduces New AI-Powered Writing Help Feature, Know More About It
WhatsApp is soon set to introduce a new and highly useful feature for its users. According to reports, this feature will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist users in composing messages. Currently, the company is testing this feature in the beta version, with plans for a rollout in the near future.
How the Writing Help Assistant Will Work
WhatsApp's new Writing Help feature is built on Meta's Private Processing technology. This technology ensures that all AI-related requests are processed through encrypted connections and Anonymous Routing, effectively eliminating any link between the user's identity and their request. Notably, this feature will provide numerous suggestions for message improvement, while ensuring that no content or related data is stored.
A pen icon will appear
Leaked screenshots suggest that when Private Processing is enabled, a pen icon will appear in place of the sticker icon after typing a few words. Tapping this icon will activate the Writing Help feature, allowing Meta AI to offer suggestions aimed at enhancing the tone, clarity, and grammar of the message. If the user chooses not to proceed, the message will remain on the device, and AI processing will only occur upon confirmation.
Feature is expected to provide three options for each message
Private Processing will analyze the message and generate multiple suggestions for improvement. Currently, the feature is expected to provide three options for each message, including choices such as Rephrase, Professional, Funny, Supportive, and Proofread.
WhatsApp chatting experience is poised to become even more seamless
The report emphasizes that WhatsApp will never alter or send a message without the user's explicit permission. The Writing Help feature will process only those messages selected by the user, rather than the entire chat. Additionally, this feature is entirely optional and will be disabled by default.
Users will need to manually enable it through the app settings. With the introduction of this new feature, the WhatsApp chatting experience is poised to become even more seamless and professional, particularly for those seeking quick and accurate messaging.
