Asia Cup-2025: India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in the sixth match of the Asia Cup. The team achieved the target of 128 runs in the 16th over by losing 3 wickets. Pakistan won the toss at the Dubai International Stadium and chose to bat and scored 127 runs by losing 9 wickets.
In this Group-A match, the Indian bowlers created pressure from the powerplay itself and did not give the Pakistani batsmen a chance to recover till the end. Apart from Sahibzada Farhan (40 runs) and Shaheen Afridi (33 runs), no batsman could perform well. Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel got 2 wickets each. Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakraborty took one wicket each.
For the Indian team, openers Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Verma scored 31 runs each. Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 47 runs. There was a key partnership of 56 runs for the third wicket between Surya-Tilak. Saim Ayub from Pakistan took all three wickets.
With this win, India remains at the top of the points table and the team's chances of reaching the Super-4 have also brightened. On the other hand, if Pakistan wants to enter the next round, then it will have to win the last match against UAE.
After winning the match, the Indian players did not shake hands with the Pakistani players. Earlier, even after the toss, captain Suryakumar Yadav did not shake hands with Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha.
