CM Nitish Kumar's big gift to Bihar's youth, Rs 1,000 will be deposited into their accounts every month; learn full details
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar: Just ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections-2025, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made a major announcement for the state's youth on Thursday. Posting on the social media platform, he stated that the Bihar government will provide financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month for a period of two years to unemployed youth with graduate degrees under the "Chief Minister's Self-Help Allowance Scheme."
Previously, only unemployed youth with intermediate degrees were eligible for benefits under this scheme. The Chief Minister wrote in his social media post, "I am pleased to inform you that the "Chief Minister's Self-Help Allowance Scheme," which was previously in operation under the state government's 7 Nischay program, has now been expanded."
Nitish Kumar wrote on social media, "Since the formation of the new government in November 2005, providing government jobs and employment to as many youth as possible and empowering them has been our priority. The target has been to provide government jobs and employment to one crore youth in the next five years.
'A large number of new jobs and employment opportunities will be created'
CM said, "In the coming time, a large number of new jobs and employment opportunities will be created in the government and private sectors. To achieve this target, youth are being provided skill development training so that they can obtain jobs/employment."
Nitish further wrote, "Graduate youth/girls in the age group of 20-25 who are not studying anywhere and are trying for a job/employment, do not have any self-employment or are not employed in any government, private or non-government sector, will also be paid the Chief Minister's Nishchay Self-Help Allowance at the rate of Rs. 1000 per month for a maximum period of two years."
Nitish expressed hope that the youth/girls will use this assistance allowance to get the necessary training and prepare for competitive examinations so that their future can be secured."
The CM said, "The objective of this visionary initiative of the state government is to provide maximum employment opportunities to the youth of the state. The educated youth here should become self-reliant, skilled and employment-oriented and can make their important contribution in the development of the country and the state."
