MP: Vikramaditya Vedic Clock has calendar of more than 7 thousand years from Mahabharata period; CM Mohan Yadav unveils clock at his residence and launches its app

The Vikramaditya Vedic Clock is the world's first clock based on Indian time calculation, representing a remarkable amalgamation of Indian tradition, Vedic calculations, and scientific vision. It aims to serve as an important link connecting global languages, traditions, faiths, and religious activities, thereby becoming the cultural axis of India.

Clock contains rare information

The mobile app developed for the Vikramaditya Vedic Clock contains rare information about calendars, dates, constellations, yogas, karanas, days, months, fasts, and festivals, spanning from 3179 Vikram Purva during the Mahabharata period to over 7,000 years of history.

On Monday, CM Mohan Yadav unveiled Vikramaditya Vedic clock at Chief Minister's residence. During this, he also launched the app related to the clock. 

This clock encompasses many wonders within itself. After being established in Ujjain, it has also been set up in the capital city of Bhopal. The clock provides information and alarm facilities for 30 different auspicious Muhurats for religious activities, fasting, and meditation.

The app offers Vedic time (30 hours), the current Muhurat location, GMT and IST times, as well as temperature, wind speed, humidity, and other weather-related information. Additionally, the app is available in over 189 global languages. It includes calculations for daily sunrise and sunset times, providing accurate details for 30 Muhurats each day.

300 years ago, the method of time calculation used to go from India to the world

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that India has infused the entire universe with its knowledge. He said that the method of time calculation used to originate from our country and influenced the world until about 300 years ago. He emphasized that every aspect of Indian culture serves as a unique example of the interplay between nature and science, contributing to global welfare.

The Vikramaditya Vedic Clock, built upon these rich heritages, stands as a proud symbol of Indian tradition. This clock aims to restore the glorious concept of time in India, showcasing the balance between heritage, development, nature, and technology.



India Time-Earth Time rally

During the event, the India Time-Earth Time rally, which commenced from Shaurya Smarak, concluded at the Chief Minister's residence. CM Dr. Yadav warmly welcomed the youth participating in the rally. He also inaugurated the Vikramaditya Vedic Clock app, released a folder for the YouTube series focused on Raja Bhoj, and unveiled a CD of a film centered on astronomy. Dr. Yadav encouraged the use of the Vedic clock and assisted the youth present in downloading the Vikramaditya Vedic Clock app on their mobile devices. On this occasion, he was also presented with a Vedic clock.

Panchang is a living example of the accuracy and precision of Indian chronology

CM Dr. Yadav said that for astronomical studies, the speed of the Sun was calculated based on the shadows it cast. He said that the center of India is Ujjain, and the center of Ujjain is currently located in Dongla. This location is associated with the stories of Lord Krishna and Sudama, which adds to its significance.

Dr. Yadav highlighted that the Panchang is a living example of the accuracy and precision of Indian chronology. The scholars who compile the Panchang provide timely information about lunar eclipses, solar eclipses, dates, constellations, days, fasting periods, festivals, and auspicious times even in the present day. He said that through the Vedic Clock app, users can operate the Vedic clock on their mobile devices.
