External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has reacted to US President Donald Trump's statement on India-US relations.

The External Affairs Minister said told media, "Prime Minister Modi gives great importance to our partnership relations with America."

He said, "As far as President Trump is concerned, Prime Minister Modi has always had a good personal relationship with him. But the real issue is that we are constantly connected with America. At present, I cannot say anything more than this."

S. Jaishankar's statement has come at a time when just a while ago, describing the relations between America and India as 'very special', US President Donald Trump had said that he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi 'will always be friends' and there is 'nothing to worry about' in this.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stated that he deeply appreciate and fully reciprocate President Trump's sentiments and positive assessment of India-US ties."India and the US have a very positive and forward-looking Comprehensive and Global Strategic Partnership", Shri Modi added.

The Prime Minister posted on X;
