Bihar Assembly Election-2025: The bugle has sounded for the Bihar Assembly elections. Parties in the Nitish Kumar-led NDA and the Tejashwi Yadav-led Grand Alliance are engaged in a tussle over seat-sharing. Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi's party, AIMIM, has released its first list.

Asaduddin Owaisi's party, AIMIM, has released its first list for the Bihar Assembly elections. It lists seats for 32 candidates. With the announcement of the seats, Owaisi's party has begun preparations for forming a third front. A formal announcement is expected soon.

The list released by AIMIM, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, includes 32 assembly seats across 16 districts. The release of this list has made one thing clear: Owaisi's party will contest at least 32 seats in Bihar this time. Last time, AIMIM contested 20 seats here and won 5.

Owaisi had previously expressed his desire to join the Grand Alliance

Asaduddin Owaisi had previously expressed his desire to join the Grand Alliance. To this end, the party's Bihar president, Akhtarul Iman, wrote to Lalu Yadav once and Tejashwi Yadav twice, but did not receive a green signal. Following this, Owaisi stated that his party would contest 100 assembly seats alone.
