Bihar Assembly Election 2025: What HAM chief Jitan Ram Manjhi said on seat sharing in NDA

Bihar Assembly Election 2025: A meeting is scheduled in Delhi on Saturday to discuss seat sharing within the ruling NDA (National Democratic Alliance) for the Bihar Assembly elections.

Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi has said that he will accept whatever number of seats his party is offered.

Speaking to reporters about the NDA meeting, Manjhi said, "The decision will be taken in Delhi. We are partners of the NDA. All our people have gone to Delhi, and we are also going."

Jitan Ram Manjhi was asked, "JP Nadda has said that the seats have almost been finalized."

To this, he replied, "He is the president, we have to accept his words. If he has said so, then it must have been finalized. I don't know."

When asked about the number of seats, Jitan Ram Manjhi said, "We are disciplined people, we will remain disciplined. Whatever seats we get, we will stick to them."

Manjhi had demanded 20 seats

Recently, Jitan Ram Manjhi had demanded 20 seats and said that if 20 seats were not given, his party would contest on 100 seats.

He had said, "We want 20 seats. We want Hindustani Awam Morcha to become a recognized party at all costs. To gain recognition, we need eight seats in the Assembly and six percent of the total vote. If we don't get 20 seats, we will contest 100 seats. We have 10,000-15,000 votes everywhere."

Hindustan Awam Morcha currently has four MLAs in Bihar.

Elections are scheduled in Bihar in November. The first phase of voting will be held on November 6, while the second phase will be held on November 11. The election results will be declared on November 14.
