Bihar Assembly Election-2025: What JDU said amid speculation about Nitish Kumar's displeasure over seat sharing

JDU has clarified speculation about Nitish Kumar's displeasure over the NDA's seat sharing in the Bihar Assembly Election-2025.

JDU National Executive President Sanjay Kumar Jha said, "Whatever is being decided within the NDA is being decided only after talking to and consulting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar."

Jha accused the opposition of spreading misinformation and planting baseless stories. He urged the people of Bihar not to pay attention to rumors.

Sanjay Kumar Jha said, "CM Nitish Kumar is fully prepared for the elections. He is personally monitoring every single detail. He is personally speaking to everyone."

He said, "The Chief Minister is also speaking with the leaders of the NDA constituent parties, especially the senior BJP leaders in Delhi. Whatever is being decided is being done after talking to the Chief Minister."

Disputes over ticket distribution

After the agreement on seat-sharing among the NDA members for the Bihar Assembly elections, disputes over ticket distribution have started.

JDU MP Ajay Kumar Mandal, representing the Bhagalpur Lok Sabha constituency, has submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He claims he was not consulted about the ticket distribution process.

Besides, JDU MLA Gopal Mandal is protesting outside Nitish Kumar's residence, demanding a ticket for himself.

According to the seat-sharing agreement within the NDA, both the JDU and BJP will contest 101 seats each. The LJP (Ram Vilas) will contest 29 seats, while the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha will each contest six seats.

Voting in Bihar is scheduled to take place in two phases on November 6 and 11, with the results to be announced on November 14.
