Bihar Elections-2025: NDA's Manifesto Promises 1 Crore Jobs and Employment, What More Promises Have Been Made, Special Focus on Youth, Farmers and Women


The NDA has released its Manifesto for the Bihar Assembly elections-2025. It contains several promises for Bihar ahead of the elections.

The Manifesto was released in Patna in the presence of BJP President JP Nadda, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and leaders of other allied parties.

Special Focus on Youth and Women

The manifesto prioritizes youth and women. Skill-based employment will be provided through a skill census and mega skill centers will be established in every district to make Bihar a global skilling hub. Meanwhile, for women's prosperity, assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh has been announced for women under the "Chief Minister Women's Employment Scheme." Along with this, an ambitious goal of making 1 crore women Lakhpati Didi has also been set through "Mission Crorepati."

Farmers, Extremely Backward Classes, and Guaranteed Development

Major announcements have also been made for farmers. Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary announced that the "Karpoori Thakur Kisan Samman Nidhi" will be launched. He clarified that in addition to the Rs 6,000 provided by the central government under the Kisan Samman Nidhi, the state government will provide Rs 3,000, bringing the total benefit to farmers to Rs 9,000.

The NDA has also guaranteed the purchase of paddy, wheat, pulses, and maize at the MSP at the Panchayat level. It has also promised to provide assistance of ₹10 lakh to various occupational groups of the Most Backward Classes and form a committee headed by a retired Supreme Court judge to assess their situation. Additionally, seven expressways, a new airport, an industrial revolution with an investment of ₹1 lakh crore, and free rations and 125 units of free electricity for the poor are also mentioned.

Manifesto highlights

More than 10 million government jobs and employment have been promised in Bihar.

It also includes the promise of establishing factories and 10 new industrial parks in every district of the state.

Additionally, the resolution letter includes a promise of Rs 2 lakh in assistance to women through women's employment schemes.

A promise to increase the Kisan Samman Nidhi from Rs 6,000 to Rs  9,000.

A promise to build 50 lakh new permanent houses, free rations, and 125 units of free electricity.

A promise to build a medical college in every district.

A promise to run metro trains in four new cities.

A promise to provide assistance of up to Rs 10 lakh to EBC communities.
