Kondagaon: The "Bastar Olympics 2025" is being organized this year to recognize and encourage the sporting talent of the youth of the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. This competition is being held on the occasion of the Chhattisgarh Silver Jubilee Year and players from various age groups will be able to participate.
Block-level competitions will be held in all districts of the Bastar division, running from October 25th to November 5th.
Like last year, the "Bastar Olympics" are being organized this year to connect the youth of the Naxal-affected Bastar division with the mainstream, to nurture their creative and sporting talents, and to establish a direct connection between the people of the Bastar region and the government.
The registration process for the Bastar Olympics will continue until October 20, 2025. The event includes sports such as athletics, archery, badminton, football, karate, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, and tug-of-war (senior women's category only). Hockey and weightlifting players will be able to compete directly at the divisional level.
Boys and girls aged 14 to 17 can participate in the junior category, while men and women over 17 can participate in the senior category. There is no age limit for the senior category. Registration was started from 22nd September and the last date is 20th October 2025.
