Dhanteras 2025 Remedies: Dhanteras will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18, 2025. It marks the beginning of the five-day Diwali festival. On this day, people worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kubera.

A special tradition is to buy gold, silver, and new utensils on Dhanteras. There are also some special rituals to follow on this day. Let’s look at these rituals for Dhanteras.

Special Rituals for Dhanteras

Light 13 Lamps

After sunset on Dhanteras, light 13 lamps. Then, worship Lord Kubera and your safe (where you keep money).

Picture of Goddess Lakshmi

It’s good to place a picture of Goddess Lakshmi sitting on a lotus flower in your safe. This is believed to bring happiness and wealth to your home.

Create an Auspicious Symbol

Make a paste with turmeric and rice, and use it to draw the Om symbol on your main door. This symbol welcomes Goddess Lakshmi and brings peace and prosperity.

Offer Cloves and Purify the House

Offer a pair of cloves to the Goddess during the puja. This helps with financial problems. Also, fill a right-handed conch shell with clean water and sprinkle it around your house before and after the puja. This helps invite Goddess Lakshmi into your home.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
