Famous Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passes away, was injured in a road accident

Famous Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda has passed away at the age of 35. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann posted on Twitter that Rajvir was injured in a road accident and died during treatment.

This horrific road accident occurred near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, on the morning of September 27th.

After the accident, Rajvir Jawanda was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Rajvir remained on a ventilator for approximately 11 days.

Fortis Hospital has confirmed his death. A statement issued by the hospital stated that Rajvir passed away at 10:55 am on October 8, 2025.

He was brought to the hospital in a very critical condition after a road accident on September 27, 2025. He had suffered severe spinal and head injuries. It was on October 3, 2025, that an MRI report suggested that the singer's brain was not getting adequate oxygen, leading to permanent damage.

Rajvir Jawanda's career had been an inspiring one. He began his music career in 2014, and his single, Munda Like Me, proved to be a breakthrough. Rajvir Jawanda initially aspired to be a police officer, but he entered in the entertainment world and gained attention with his songs. 

Rajvir also ventured into acting 

He also ventured into acting and carved a special space in the hearts of the audience. However, in the heart of his hard work and success remained his wife. While Rajvir's professional life had been grabbing attention, people eventually found that the singer was already married to a special someone.

Rajvir kept his personal life private

Rajvir Jawanda kept his personal life private, and so did his wife. Despite being the wife of a famous personality, she always remained behind the scenes, supporting her husband and serving as his emotional anchor. 

The name of Rajvir Jawanda's wife hasn't been publicly disclosed, but her influence on him was visibly shining throughout. Their shared values are often reflected in the romantic narratives in his lyrics, and as per the duo's close ones, Rajvir's wife had always been by his side, and took on the responsibility of grounding him throughout his career, tours and the overall journey.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
