Haryana News: Hisar Buffalo Radha Sets a World Record, Makes Its Owner Wealthy
Radha, a Murrah breed buffalo owned by farmer Ishwar Singhwa in Hisar, Haryana, has set a new world record for milk production. The buffalo produced 35 kg 669 grams of milk, surpassing the previous record of 33 kg 800 grams.
This remarkable achievement not only brought fame to Ishwar Singhwa but also enhanced the state's international standing. The farmer initiated the process of registering the record by applying online. After this Radha's milk was measured under the supervision of officials from the Animal Husbandry Department.
Haryana, known for its milk and dairy products, has once again demonstrated its agricultural and animal husbandry capabilities. Through this achievement, Radha showcased that with modern care and nutrition, animal husbandry can generate major economic returns.
Radha's record surpassed last year's mark
Radha's record surpassed last year's mark set by Reshma, a buffalo from Kaithal district. Ishwar Singhwa explained that milking was conducted four times to verify the record, and the process was completed in the presence of the Animal Husbandry Department and the village sarpanch. For this achievement, Ishwar Singhwa has been honored by both the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister.
Radha's special care
Ishwar Singhwa told that Radha was purchased last year from Kanheri village in Fatehabad for Rs 4 lakh 1 thousand. She is provided with special, clean mattresses and is bathed three times a day, trimmed once a month, and massaged with mustard oil daily. During the summer, Radha is kept under a cooler to help maintain her temperature.
Radha's Diet
Radha is fed a special diet consisting of 8 kg of chickpeas, 4 kg of groundnut, 2 kg of wheat porridge, and 2 kg of jaggery daily. This careful attention to her care and balanced diet has enabled Radha to produce high yields.
Dr. Indrajit Singh, Vice Chancellor of Bihar Animal Science University, and Dr. Prem Singh, Director General of the Animal Husbandry Department, have also confirmed Radha's record and achievements.
