MP: Construction of Shri Ram Path Gaman, Parikrama Path, and Shri Ram Raja Lok to be completed with grandeur in Chitrakoot; CM Mohan Yadav reviews progress
MP: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that after the construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, the entire focus of tourists and devotees has shifted to Chitrakoot. The works of Shri Ram Path Gaman and Shri Ram Raja Lok must be carried out with great splendour, and the convenience of devotees and tourists must be given priority.
The CM emphasized that before building Shri Ram Path Gaman, the Parikrama Path should be prepared, which would promote Chitrakoot widely among domestic and foreign tourists. He said that tourists should get a spiritual experience at the ghats of Chitrakoot and all our efforts should move in this direction.
On Friday, CM Mohan Yadav reviewed the Shri Ram Path Gaman work plan from Samatva Bhavan at the CM’s residence. He said that along with religious tourism, all possibilities for medical tourism in Chitrakoot should also be developed through concrete action.
High‑quality health wellness center may also be established
CM proposed establishing a high‑quality health wellness center in Chitrakoot so that tourists coming there could access both general and modern medical facilities.
CM also reviewed the up‑to‑date progress of construction of Shree Ram Raja Lok in Orchha, in Niwari district. CM said that religious and social organizations connected with service works should also be involved in the overall development of Chitrakoot. He insisted that the Parikrama Path in Chitrakoot be completed as soon as possible. Due to the large number of devotees gathering on Somvati Amavasya, micro‑planning should be done for crowd management.
Additional Chief Secretary (Culture & Tourism) Sheo Shekhar Shukla stated that under the “Swadesh Darshan 2.0” scheme, work worth Rs. 27.21 crore is underway in Chitrakoot
Shukla said that for expansion, restoration, and beautification of the ghats in Chitrakoot, acquisition of adjacent private land and other necessary land will be made.
