What PM Modi said about President Trump’s Peace Initiative on Gaza Conflict
US President Donald Trump has said that Hamas has "three to four days" to respond to his plan for peace in Gaza.
Trump said, "If Hamas rejects this agreement, it will be a very sad ending." He also added, "If it succeeds, it will be wonderful."
Trump has described his plan as "a wonderful thing." The Qatar Foreign Ministry has said that Hamas is "responsibly" studying the proposal. Hamas may take several days to respond.
The plan includes a halt to hostilities, the return of hostages, and the creation of an international "Board of Peace" to help manage Gaza.
The plan also includes a "credible path to recognizing Palestine as a state" if certain conditions are met. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will "oppose" this.
When asked if there was any room for negotiations on the peace plan, he simply said, "Not much."
According to the report, Hamas has said it would review the outline of the Gaza peace plan after internal consultations with its officials.
According to the report, the plan, would include the release of all hostages within 72 hours, the demilitarization of the Strip, the complete surrender and disarmament of all Hamas activists, and its handover to a transitional, "technical" government, with an international force responsible for security.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has welcomed President Donald Trump’s announcement of a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict.
PM Modi said that the plan provides a viable pathway to long-term and sustainable peace, security, and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people, as well as for the larger West Asian region.
Modi expressed hope that all concerned parties will come together in support of President Trump’s initiative to end the conflict and secure lasting peace.
