Indian cricketer Virat Kohli congratulated the Indian women's team on their impressive victory.
Virat Kohli wrote on the social media platform X, "A fantastic win for our team against a strong opposition like Australia. The women's players chased the target brilliantly and Jemimah performed brilliantly in a big match.
Kohli wrote, "A true display of determination, belief, and passion. Well done, Team India."
Sachin Tendulkar said, "Great win."
Sachin further wrote in a social media post, "Well done, Jamie and Harman, you led the team from the front. Shri Charani and Deepti, you kept the match alive with the ball. May the tricolor always fly high."
Rohit Sharma also praised the team. The star batsman and former captain shared a photo of Jemimah Rodriguez and Amanjot Kaur celebrating on Instagram immediately after the semi-final ended, writing, "Well done, Team India."
Mithali Raj expressed her emotions in a heartfelt post. The former captain of the Indian women's cricket team wrote, “Confidence, passion, and hunger to win—all three things were on display tonight. Congratulations to Team India for this top-class performance against Australia and for making it to the World Cup final."
India's men's team head coach Gautam Gambhir congratulated the Indian team through a social media post. Gambhir wrote, " What a brilliant performance by all players."
