Diamond Officer Patel stated that Panna diamonds received this significant achievement (GI tag) with the support of the District Administration, the Diamond Mining Department, the Madhya Pradesh Government, and the GI technical assistance of Padma Shri Dr. Rajni Kant and the Manav Kalyan Sansthan. It is worth noting that Panna district in Madhya Pradesh has been known for centuries for its precious diamonds. This is why Panna is also known as the Diamond City.
