Former Madhya Pradesh CM Uma Bharti has advocated the concept of a Hindu nation, while talking to reporters in Bhopal. She said that India is a Hindu nation, it doesn't need to be made one. It just needs to be accepted by everyone. India is a Hindu nation, that is why it is secular. We talk of equality among all religions because Hindus see unity in diversity.
She said this while talking to reporters at her residence in Bhopal on Saturday. She said that India is a Hindu nation, not a Hindu state. Now is the time for Hindus to unite and rise above casteism.
In response to a question, Uma Bharti asked why, despite being the majority in India, we have to fight in court for our religious places. This is because we lack unity. She said that economic equality will bring unity in society. We must show generosity towards all castes.
In response to another question, Uma said that Pandit Dhirendra Shastri led a march for Hindu unity and the nation, and he spoke of creating a Hindu nation. Such great personalities emerge from Bundelkhand. A youth like this who speaks of Hindu unity is a matter of respect and pride for us.
Uma Bharti described corruption as the biggest challenge for the country. She said that we must eliminate corruption in our country. Regarding reservation, she said that in addition to reservations, people from disadvantaged communities can be appointed to important positions. All parties should unite for this.
Uma said that there is no doubt that cows will survive only if farmers rear cows. Saving other rivers, including the Ganga, is crucial for the environment. Regarding prohibition, she said that prohibition is essential. It can be gradually abolished. Society is also slowly moving forward with this. In the case of love jihad, she said that if a boy meets a girl by hiding his religion and then after marriage says that I am a Muslim, change your religion, then this is love jihad.
