🎧 Listen:

The All India Congress Committee has informed that Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi will attend the Sangathan Srijan training camp in Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh, on 8 November. He is scheduled to address district Congress presidents during the session.

Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Pachmarhi on Saturday, where the camp is currently underway, and stay overnight. On Sunday, he is expected to proceed to Chhapra, Bihar for further election engagements.

The party has described his participation as significant for strengthening organisational strategy and leadership coordination ahead of upcoming political activities. The camp focuses on enhancing grassroots capacity and internal communication within the party.

Meanwhile, on the fifth day of a training program in Pachmarhi on November 6, the MP Congress Committee held a session called “Caste, Constitution and Politics” for all District Congress Presidents and party members. The day started with Yoga and self-defense exercises. The goal of the session was to help participants understand how caste still affects Indian society and politics, and how the Constitution aims for equality and social justice.

K. Raju, a member of the All India Congress Committee, spoke to the group and stressed that caste is not just a thing of the past but a real issue that affects people's access to opportunities and power. He pointed out that the Indian Constitution was created to fight against caste discrimination by promoting equality.

Raju also talked about the importance of a caste census in making policies. He said having accurate data about different social and economic groups is crucial for fairly sharing resources and creating programs that truly help reduce inequality. He argued that recognizing caste differences is not harmful; instead, it helps make democracy stronger and fairer.

Speakers at the session emphasized that caste, the Constitution, and democracy are all connected parts of Indian society. They said that as long as inequalities exist, the promise of justice and equality in the Constitution is not fully realized.

The session saw active participation from district leaders and trainees, who discussed ways to strengthen the party by being inclusive and socially aware. Delegates agreed that creating a fair society is important not just for political success but also for upholding the values of the Indian Republic.
