Maharashtra govt gifts Rs 2.25 crore to these players, including Smriti Mandhana


The Maharashtra government has awarded the players of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup-2025 winning team. The prize money was given only to players from Maharashtra.

In addition, the team's coach, Amol Mazumdar, was also awarded.

Indian team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Radha Yadav, and coach Amol Mazumdar met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday.

Devendra Fadnavis said, "The government has honored our players from Maharashtra - Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Radha Yadav, and coach Amol Mazumdar."

He said, "The Maharashtra government has a rule that players who perform well at the international level are given Rs 2.25 crore as prize money, and coaches Rs 25 lakh. We have given them this prize money today."

The CM added, "In addition, we have also given Rs 11 lakh to the remaining coaches."
