Mount Kailash: The Sacred Mountain That Defies Every Climber

Mount Kailash is a special and sacred mountain located in Tibet, near the borders of India, Nepal, and China. 

NASA teams have observed a shadow on Mount Kailash, believed by many to be a figure of Lord Shiva, seated in a distinctive meditative posture. Furthermore, NASA satellites have detected a powerful electromagnetic energy field in the region, the source of which scientists still don't understand.

Mount Kailash is about 6,638 meters tall, which is lower than Mount Everest, but no one has ever climbed to the top of Mount Kailash. Here are some reasons why.

Religious Beliefs: Many people believe that climbing Mount Kailash is disrespectful to Lord Shiva, who is thought to meditate there. Because of this, pilgrims walk around the mountain instead of trying to climb it.

Bad Weather: The weather can change quickly, with snowstorms that can be dangerous for climbers.

Strong Magnetic Field: Scientists say that there is a strong magnetic field around the mountain, which can confuse compasses and electronic devices. This makes it hard for climbers to know where they are going.

Strange Experiences: Some climbers have reported feeling unusual energy, dizziness, and tiredness when they get close to the mountain. Some even say that time seems to move faster there.

Government Restrictions: The Chinese government has banned climbing Mount Kailash to keep it sacred.

Because of these reasons, Mount Kailash remains unclimbed.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
