MP: 3 lakh devotees will recite Bhagavad Gita together; CM Mohan Yadav will inaugurate International Gita Mahotsav
MP CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the International Gita Mahotsav on Monday, December 1, on the occasion of Gita Jayanti. On this occasion, more than 3 lakh Gita devotees will collectively recite the 15th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita in the presence of Acharyas in 313 development blocks, 55 district headquarters, and 10 divisions of Madhya Pradesh.
MP's first Gita Bhavan will be inaugurated in Indore
Special events have been organized in Ujjain, Bhopal, and Indore on Gita Jayanti. Madhya Pradesh's first Gita Bhavan will be inaugurated at the Gopal Mandir in Indore's Rajwada in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The names of the winners of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Knowledge Competition, held in Madhya Pradesh from November 16 to 28, 2025, will also be announced on this occasion.
Shriram Tiwari, Trustee Secretary of the Veer Bharat Trust, stated that the International Gita Mahotsav is being celebrated on a grand scale in MP on Gita Jayanti, December 1, 2025. He stated that the Gita is not just a religious text but also teaches the art of living. This festival will serve as a medium to create an environment of knowledge, duty, discipline, and positivity in society.
Actor Puneet Issar to perform on first day
Various cultural events are being held at Ujjain's Dussehra grounds from December 1st to 3rd. On the first day, the dance drama Jai Shri Krishna, directed by actor Puneet Issar, will be staged. On the second day, Vaishnavi Sharma from New Delhi will present a poetry recitation, Viratjayi, and Mohit Shewani and team from Mumbai will present a musical performance of Krishnayan.
On the final day, Vishwavandaniya, directed by Umesh Tarkaswar, and Gita on Wheels, directed by Dr. Salauddin Pasha from Bangalore, will be presented. He added that a Madhava Darshanam exhibition, in miniature painting style, is being showcased on this occasion.
Divyang Artists to Perform Gita on Wheels at Ravindra Bhavan Bhopal
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will be the chief guest at Ravindra Bhavan at 1 p.m., where a recitation of the 15th Chapter of the Bhagavad Gita and an exhibition will be inaugurated. A Krishnayan performance, directed by Mohit Shewani, will be held in Ravindra Bhavan's Hansdhwani auditorium.
This performance focuses on the story of Lord Krishna and Madhya Pradesh. Modern technologies have been utilized to make this performance engaging and interesting. Prior to this, a Gita on Wheels performance will be held under the direction of Dr. Salauddin Pasha from Bangalore, in which Divyang artists will perform scenes from the Gita, and a dance drama by Vishwa Geeta Pratishthanam will be presented. The performances will begin at 6 p.m.
Events will be held at Gopal Mandir, Indore
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Saini will be the chief guests at the inauguration of Madhya Pradesh's first Gita Bhawan-Gopal Mandir in Indore. Additionally, the names of the winners of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Knowledge Competition, held in the state from November 16 to 28, 2025, will be announced.
Prizes will be distributed on Republic Day, January 26, 2026. The dance drama "Krishnayan," directed by Shri Sanjeev Malviya, will be presented on this occasion.
