Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana's manager, Tuhin Mishra, has announced that her wedding to music composer-film maker Palash Muchhal has been postponed.

Tuhin Mishra stated that this decision was made due to Smriti Mandhana's father's ill health.

Smriti Mandhana’s father, Shrinivas, suffered a heart attack at the Mandhana family’s farmhouse in Samdol, Sangli. Mandhana was supposed to get married to music composer Palash Muchhal at the venue on Sunday, but it has now been indefinitely postponed.

According to the family, Shrinivas’s health deteriorated on Sunday morning, and he was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. His condition is stable, but the doctors have prescribed that he stay in the hospital for some time.

Tuhin said, "This morning, while Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was having breakfast, his health began to deteriorate. We waited for a while, but his condition worsened, so he was taken to the hospital. He is currently under observation."

Tuhin Mishra said, "Smriti Mandhana has decided to postpone the wedding until her father recovers."

Mandhana, one of Indian cricket’s most prominent faces and a recent World Cup champion, was set to marry Muchhal in an intimate ceremony to be attended only by close family and friends on Sunday in Sangli, Maharashtra.

The celebrations in Sangli had been underway through the week, with fans catching rare glimpses of the usually reserved opener enjoying her pre-wedding festivities.

Mandhana and Muchhal’s relationship goes back to 2019, when they met through mutual friends in Mumbai’s creative circles.
