Y-Plus Security to Tej Pratap Yadav Sparks BJP Entry Buzz Ahead of Bihar Assembly Election-2025
The Centre’s decision to grant Y-Plus security to Tej Pratap Yadav, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son, has triggered intense political speculation. Coming right after his meeting with BJP MP Ravi Kishan and his statement supporting a “development-oriented government,” many believe Tej Pratap might be inching closer to joining the BJP ahead of the Bihar elections.
The central government has decided to provide Y+ (Y-Plus) category security to the Janshakti Janata Dal founder and candidate from the Mahua assembly constituency Tej Pratap Yadav.
Political turmoil erupted after meeting with Ravi Kishan
It should be noted that a day earlier, even before the election results, Tej Pratap Yadav hinted at joining forces with the BJP. While meeting BJP MP Ravi Kishan, he said, "I had already said that I will support anyone who talks about employment."
BJP MP Ravi Kishan, after meeting with Tej Pratap Yadav, said that he (Tej Pratap Yadav) is a kind-hearted person and a devotee of Bholenath. Ravi Kishan said that the BJP has an open heart for all those whose aim is service.
After meeting BJP MP Ravi Kishan, Tej Pratap was asked by the media whether he would join the BJP. He simply stated that he would support a government that promotes development. After Tej Pratap's statement, Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) national convener Jitan Ram Manjhi offered Tej Pratap to join the NDA.
