The final matches and medal distribution ceremony of the 50-meter rifle event, held as part of the 68th National Shooting Championship, took place at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy in Bhopal

Minister for Cooperatives, Sports and Youth Welfare, Vishwas Kailash Sarang, participated in the event on Tuesday, awarding medals to the outstanding performers and interacting with them. On this occasion, Minister Sarang said that the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy has established itself as one of the best shooting academies in the world. It provides state-of-the-art facilities, top-class coaches, and an international-level training environment for the all-round development of the athletes.

He further added that the state government is working with complete commitment towards the empowerment of sports, athletes, and sports infrastructure. Such national competitions play a crucial role in honing the talent of athletes and preparing them for the international stage. 



Aishwarya Pratap Singh wins gold with a new national record

Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, a talented athlete from the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, set a new national record with his outstanding performance in the 50-meter rifle 3-position event. He scored 597 out of 600 in the qualification round and secured the gold medal with 470.5 points in the final. Additionally, Kushagra Singh Rajawat, an athlete from the academy in the Deaf category, also brought glory to the state by winning a gold medal with his excellent performance.

It is noteworthy that in this competition, athletes from Madhya Pradesh and various other states, in the Senior, Junior, Youth, Deaf, and Handicapped categories, performed exceptionally well and won medals in different categories. The competition was highly competitive and inspiring.
