PM Modi interacts with Indian diaspora, students in Oman
Muscat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday assured the Indian diaspora residing in Oman that India is committed to their welfare and the government will be there to support them whenever and wherever they need help.
On the second and final day of his Oman visit, Modi addressed a large gathering of the Indian community here. The gathering included over 700 students from various Indian schools. This year is particularly significant for Indian schools in Oman as they are celebrating their 50th anniversary.
Modi assured the Indian diaspora of all possible help and expressed India's deep commitment to their welfare. He emphasized, "Wherever our people need help, the government will be there to support them."
The Prime Minister expressed his happiness at meeting Indians from various states of India who have settled in Oman, saying that diversity is the foundation of Indian culture. This is a value that helps them integrate into any society. Referring to the respect the Indian community enjoys in Oman, he stressed that coexistence and cooperation have been the hallmark of Indian expatriates.
Modi said that India and Oman have age-old ties, from Mandvi to Muscat, which the diaspora is nurturing through hard work and unity. He appreciated the large number of Indians who participated in the 'Know India' quiz. He congratulated the Indian schools in Oman on completing 50 years. The Prime Minister also thanked Sultan Haitham bin Tariq for his support for the welfare of the community.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the India-Oman partnership is preparing itself for the future through AI collaboration, digital learning, innovation partnerships, and industry exchanges. He urged the youth to dream big, learn deeply, and innovate so that they can make meaningful contributions to humanity.
