This revelation comes from the latest report by Foundit Job Search (formerly Monster). According to the report, the demand for AI skills is rapidly increasing, and companies are now prioritizing professionals proficient in data analysis, machine learning, automation, and AI tools.
Significant opportunities for young people
The report also predicts that the pace of AI-related recruitment will accelerate further in 2026. It is estimated that AI-driven recruitment will see a year-on-year increase of 32% next year. This could bring the total number of AI jobs to approximately 3.8 lakh positions, opening up significant opportunities for young people.
Increase in hiring recorded
India's job market showed renewed strength towards the end of 2025. According to the report, recruitment continued steadily across various sectors, job roles, and cities. A month-on-month increase of 5% and a year-on-year increase of 15% in hiring were recorded, providing relief to job seekers.
Commenting on this trend, Tarun Sharma, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Foundit, said, "In 2025, recruitment expanded and it is expected to continues in 2026," this statement confirms that AI is no longer a future need, but a present necessity.
