Four Eminent Personalities from Madhya Pradesh to Receive Padma Shri 2026
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all eminent personalities honoured with the Padma Awards. Among them are four distinguished individuals from Madhya Pradesh.
Congratulating the Padma Shri awardees, Bhagwan Das Raikwar (Sports), Kailash Chandra Pant (Literature & Education), Mohan Nagar (Social Work), and Narayan Vyas (Archaeology), the Chief Minister said that these luminaries have brought pride to the state at the national level through their outstanding contributions in their respective fields. He added that their exemplary work will inspire future generations toward service to the nation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav wished the Padma Shri awardees a bright future.
President Smt. Droupadi Murmu announced a total of 131 Padma Awards for the year 2026 on Sunday. The list includes 5 Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri awardees. Among the recipients are 19 women, and 6 awardees from foreign nationals, Non-Resident Indians, and other categories. The announcement also includes 16 posthumous Padma Awards, including one for the late film actor Dharmendra Singh Deol.
