An Indian Air Force training aircraft crashed in Prayagraj. The aircraft faltered in mid-air and fell into a pond. Both pilots on board the two-seater aircraft are safe. A video of the accident has also surfaced.

The accident occurred on Wednesday at about 12 noon behind KP College. This is a densely populated area in the heart of the city. There are schools and residential colonies adjacent to the pond. The Magh Mela grounds are about 3 km away from the site.

Both pilots on board the aircraft deployed their parachutes in time and jumped out of the plane, saving their lives.

Hearing the loud explosion, people from the surrounding area immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the two pilots from the pond.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and sent both pilots to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to the doctors, their condition is completely safe and stable.

It is reported that the pond is located right behind KP College in the heart of the city and was filled with water.

According to preliminary information, the aircraft experienced a sudden technical malfunction, after which the pilots tried to steer the plane towards the pond to minimize damage and casualties. However, due to engine failure, the aircraft crashed into the pond.

Currently, an Indian Air Force team is present at the site and is investigating the accident. NDRF and other relief agencies are also deployed at the scene. There were no casualties in this accident.
