Ajeevika Green Fair at Bhopal Haat from January 24 to 26, these will be key attractions

Bhopal: A three-day Ajeevika Green Fair is being organized by the Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission at Bhopal Haat from January 24 to 26.  The fair will showcase chemical-free products from women's self-help groups under the Mission. 

The fair will primarily feature plants, fruits, vegetables, chemical-free grains, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and gardening materials prepared in the groups' nurseries. Women from self-help groups in Bhopal, Raisen, Sehore, Harda, Narmadapuram, Mandsaur, Vidisha, Gwalior, Rajgarh, Sagar, Sheopur, Agar-Malwa, Betul, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, and Guna districts are bringing their products, and approximately 40 stalls will be set up at Bhopal Haat for selling these items.

Fair will offer improved varieties of fruit trees

The fair will offer ornamental plants such as roses, chrysanthemums, and dahlias; religious plants like basil, Shami, and Bael; vegetable plants including tomatoes, chilies, cauliflower, and cabbage; and grafted brinjal plants. Improved varieties of fruit trees such as grafted mangoes, guavas (Thai Pink), lemons (seedless), oranges, sapodilla, and pomegranates will also be available.

Organic fertilizers and pesticides will be available

In addition, organic fertilizers, vermicompost, Nadep compost, Dhanjeevamrit, Dravya Jeevamrit, and organic pesticides such as Neemastra, Brahmastra, Agni Astra, Panchparni, and Dashparni decoction will be available. Integrated pest management materials including blue and yellow sticky traps, pheromone traps, and light traps will also be offered. 

Similarly, earthen and cow dung pots, materials for preparing vegetable seedlings such as root trays and coco peat, and small tools used in nurseries like trowels, secateurs for pruning, and budding knives will also be available. Various types of fresh juices, fruit salads, and herbal drinks will also be available for visitors to the fair. The fair will be open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM.
