Maharashtra: What did CM Devendra Fadnavis say about Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana? Will the scheme be discontinued?
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said that the CM Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will not be discontinued and this welfare scheme will continue as long as he remains the head of the state government.
Addressing a public meeting in Jalna during his tour of the Marathwada region, Fadnavis urged citizens not to pay heed to rumors about the scheme being discontinued. He said that the government is committed to the welfare of the common people and described the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana as an important initiative aimed at empowering women economically.
Fadnavis expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would receive overwhelming support from the public in the upcoming local body elections. He said that the government has prioritized development works and that continuous development and welfare initiatives have instilled confidence among the citizens.
Later, at another event in Nanded, Fadnavis said that urban development has emerged as a major focus area for the state government. For many years, the needs of cities were neglected, leading to persistent problems related to housing, water supply, sanitation, and drainage. The current government is emphasizing improving infrastructure through systematic planning, ensuring clean drinking water, providing better housing facilities, and creating employment opportunities in urban centers.
He said that strong leadership at the municipal level is essential to maintain the pace of development and appealed to the voters to support BJP candidates in the civic elections.
