PM Modi describes Ajit Pawar as a leader of the people; 3-day state mourning in Maharashtra; CM Fadnavis will reach Baramati with Eknath Shinde
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled passing of Ajit Pawar, today. PM Modi stated that Ajit Pawar Ji was widely respected as a hardworking personality at the forefront of serving the people of Maharashtra. His understanding of administrative matters and passion for empowering the poor and downtrodden were also noteworthy. "His untimely demise is very shocking and saddening. Condolences to his family and countless admirers", Modi said.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said, “Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has died in a plane crash. There is an atmosphere of grief in the state. Losing a leader like him is a great loss. In his personal life, he was a good friend. We faced many challenges together.”
Devendra Fadnavis added, “We have declared three days of state mourning.”
Devendra Fadnavis will reach Baramati with Shinde
CM Devendra Fadnavis said, “At a time when Ajit Pawar was contributing to the development of Maharashtra, his untimely death is a great loss. We stand with his family. I will go to Baramati today with Eknath Shinde. I have informed the PM and Home Minister about this incident, and they have expressed their condolences.”
