Republic Day-2026: CM Dr Mohan Yadav hoists National Flag at Golden Ghat on banks of Kshipra River: Tricolour Balloons Released, Message of Patriotism and Public Service Delivered
The 77th Republic Day-2026 was celebrated in Madhya Pradesh across the state with great pomp and enthusiasm. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav hoisted the National Flag and took the salute at the Republic Day ceremony held at Kartik Mela Ground in Ujjain. He also honoured freedom fighters and ‘Lok Tantra Rakshaks’. On this occasion, captivating cultural performances imbued with patriotism and centred on Simhastha were presented. CN Mohan Yadav also felicitated officers and employees for outstanding work, as well as teams presenting cultural events and departmental tableaux.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s wife Seema Yadav, MP Anil Firojiya, Rajya Sabha MP Balyogi Umesh Nath Ji Maharaj, MLA Anil Jain Kaluhheda, Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, religious leaders of various faiths, public representatives, officers, students and a large number of citizens were present at the ceremony.
Tricolour Balloons Released, Message of Patriotism and Public Service Delivered
At the Golden Ghat on the banks of the Kshipra River near Kartik Mela Ground, Dr. Yadav released tricolour balloons into the open sky, conveying a message of patriotism and public service. On this occasion, Home Guards and SDRF personnel, holding the National Flag on more than 40 boats decorated in tricolour hues, sang patriotic songs in the waters of Maa Kshipra. The ghat was decorated with a tricolour theme, and an impressive Bhagoria dance performance was presented by tribal Bhil artists.
CM extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day and addressed the citizens. He said that the spirit of patriotism and pride for the nation is becoming stronger in the hearts and minds of the people. Due to the leadership qualities of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s global stature is increasing worldwide. He paid homage at the feet of the immortal martyrs who cheerfully embraced the gallows for the freedom of Mother India.
CM stated that Simhastha will be organised in Ujjain in 2028, and keeping this grand and divine event in view, the Republic Day event was held on the sacred banks of the Kshipra River. Addressing the state-level Republic Day event at Kartik Mela Ground, the Chief Minister hoisted the National Flag amid an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and fervour and took the salute at the parade. Attractive tableaux by various government departments were showcased, and schoolchildren presented colourful cultural events.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Modi has called for the development of the Gareeb, Yuva, Annadata and Nari, and the Madhya Pradesh Government is working with firm resolve. To realise the mantra of GYAN, the state government has launched four missions—Yuva Shakti Mission, Garib Kalyan Mission, Kisan Kalyan Mission, and Naari Sashaktikaran Mission.
Continuous Progress of the State Is Our Goal
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that continuous progress is the state’s goal and called upon everyone to work together for a resurgent Madhya Pradesh. Republic Day is an occasion to review achievements and plan for a brighter future. He expressed confidence that citizens would actively participate in the state’s development and those collective efforts of society and government would further enhance the state’s pride.
