Gold, Silver Prices Continue to Fall, Check Today's Rates

A day after the budget presentation, on February 2nd, the gold and silver markets witnessed a decline for the third consecutive day. ​​On February 2nd, silver prices in the futures market fell by approximately Rs 23,000 (9%).

The price of 1 kg of silver dropped to Rs 2.41 lakh. Gold also saw a decline of about Rs 7,000 (6%). The price of 10 grams of gold fell to Rs 1.40 lakh.

In the bullion market as well, silver became cheaper by Rs 29,255 and gold by Rs 6,427 today. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), one kilogram of silver is now priced at Rs 2,36,496. The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has come down to Rs 1,42,270.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the price of gold has fallen by Rs 30,000 in two days.

On January 29th, it had reached Rs 1.69 lakh, which is now trading at Rs 1.40 lakh.

The price of silver has fallen by Rs 1.60 lakh. On January 29th, it had reached Rs 4.01 lakh per kg, which is now trading at Rs 2.40 lakh.
