UK: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been released under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of abuse of public office.
Police had previously stated that they were considering investigating Andrew in connection with allegations related to his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew has consistently and vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
Last year, he lost his title of "Prince." He was also forced to leave Royal Lodge, Windsor Castle.
This was the first time a former prince had been arrested.
He has faced numerous allegations regarding his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
However, Andrew has denied these allegations.

King Charles has issued a statement following Andrew's arrest. His full statement is as follows.
"This news regarding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicions of misconduct in public office is concerning. This matter will be investigated under a full, fair, and reasonable process, and will be handled appropriately by the appropriate authorities."
Charles said, "As I have stated previously, the investigating authorities will have our full and selfless support and cooperation in this process. I want to be clear that the law will take its course. As this process progresses, it will not be appropriate for me to comment further on this matter. In the meantime, my duty and service to you all, and that of my family, will continue."
