India wins Under-19 World Cup; Vaibhav Suryavanshi named Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament
Under-19 World Cup-2026: India has won the Under-19 World Cup for the sixth time. The team secured a 100-run victory over England on Friday. At the Harare Sports Club, the Indian team won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 411 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs.
14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 175 runs off 80 balls, with 150 of those runs coming from boundaries. Playing at a strike rate of 218.75, Vaibhav hit 15 fours and 15 sixes in his innings. Captain Ayush Mhatre contributed 53 runs. For England, Sebastian Morgan and Alex Green took two wickets each.

Chasing a target of 412 runs, the English team was all out for 311 runs in 40.2 overs. RS Ambrish took 3 wickets, while Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk Chauhan claimed two wickets each. Caleb Faulkner of England scored 115 runs off 67 balls, and opener Ben Dawkins played an innings of 66 runs off 56 balls.
