Bihar: JDU MLAs oppose Nitish Kumar’s decision to enter Rajya Sabha; Nishant may join JDU on March 8
Bihar: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's meeting with JDU MLAs and ministers at the CM House has concluded. It is being reported that several MLAs present at the meeting opposed the CM's decision to enter the Rajya Sabha. The CM responded, "Don't protest, I'm going to the Rajya Sabha. I'll keep an eye on everything from there."
MLA Vinay Chaudhary, who was present at the meeting, said, "During the meeting, Nitish became emotional. The MLAs also became emotional after seeing him. They all unanimously urged him to reverse his decision."
The CM told the MLAs, "Let me go now. Let me go." Nitish remained adamant on joining the Rajya Sabha. After this, all the MLAs raised their hands and expressed their agreement on bringing Nishant into politics. Leaders at the meeting said that Nishant Kumar will join the JDU on March 8.
Nitish Kumar said, “For more than two decades, you have consistently maintained your trust and support, and it is through this strength that we have served Bihar and all of you with complete loyalty. It is because of your trust and support that Bihar is today embracing a new dimension of development and respect. I have expressed my gratitude to you many times in the past for this.”
Nitish said further, “Since the beginning of my parliamentary career, I have desired to become a member of both houses of the Bihar Legislature and of Parliament. In this regard, I am seeking to become a member of the Rajya Sabha in this election.”
The CM said, “I sincerely assure you that this relationship with you will continue in the future, and my resolve to work together with you to build a developed Bihar will remain unwavering. The new government that will be formed will have my full support and guidance.”
Nitish will decide the next CM: Lallan
Senior JDU leader and Union Minister Lallan Singh said that no one can do anything against Nitish Kumar's wishes. Nitish Kumar will decide who will be the Chief Minister of Bihar.
JDU workers are also angry after the Chief Minister filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha. They called it a conspiracy.
Protests took place outside the JDU office regarding this. On Friday, JDU workers blackened a poster of PM Modi.
