Mohan govt in action: Why Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Yadav directed removal of Sidhi Collector, Guna SP
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav made a surprise visit to Sidhi district on Sunday, engaging in direct dialogue with local citizens to assess the state of administrative arrangements and the ground-level implementation of various government schemes.
Dr. Yadav conducted a detailed review and gathered feedback regarding complaints raised by the public and elected representatives concerning various issues, as well as the functioning of the district administration and different government departments. In light of the complaints received, CM issued directives to remove Sidhi Collector, Swarochit Somvanshi, and to suspend the GM of District Cooperative Bank, P.S. Dhanwal.

CM also issued directives to remove the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Guna, Ankit Soni, from his post, deeming his conduct inappropriate regarding a case involving the alleged misappropriation of cash recovered during a search operation in the Guna district.
CM stated that, in response to the complaints received from citizens, necessary measures would also be initiated at the state government level. He emphasized that, under the state's system of good governance, any negligence on the part of officials or employees would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
CM affirmed that public welfare remains the top priority of the state government. To resolve the issues faced by the general public, campaigns and special camps are regularly organized across the state in both urban and rural areas. He conveyed a clear message to all officials and employees: if they are unable to resolve the problems of the common people while serving in the field, then they have no right to hold a field posting.
During the public interaction, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav patiently listened to the citizens' grievances and issued clear directives to the concerned officials to ensure their prompt and effective resolution. He reiterated that the government's firm intention is to ensure that the benefits of all government schemes reach every eligible individual in a time-bound and transparent manner.
CM said, "I expect that officials, wherever they are posted, should discharge their duties with a sense of accountability. That accountability is inherent to their very appointment. Therefore, if complaints arise regarding their performance in the field, it would be far more appropriate to assign them a desk job at Vallabh Bhavan rather than keeping them in a field posting."
