MP: CM Mohan Yadav inaugurates ‘Launchpad Incubation and Innovation Center’ in Indore, how it will nurture startups and generate employment
Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that today, the youth of the state are transforming their ideas into innovations and launching startups through information technology. In line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is set to emerge as a hub of entrepreneurship by embracing startups and innovation by 2047.
CM said that Artificial Intelligence is transforming the world rapidly, and in the present era, a person is evaluated by the strength of their knowledge. He encouraged the youth to adopt new technologies, launch startups and become successful entrepreneurs who generate employment for others.
State’s first Knowledge and AI City is being developed in Bhopal
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the inauguration ceremony of the Launchpad Incubation and Innovation Centre established at the IT Park in Sinhasa, Indore, on Sunday. He said that the state’s first Knowledge and AI City is being developed in Bhopal, while Ujjain is being developed as a Science City.
CM said that the youth in the state are rapidly advancing in AI-based Agritech Startups, healthtech, skilltech, green innovation and digital solutions. Cities such as Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur are developing as major startup hubs.
Inspection of Launchpad Centre
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav inspected advanced machines developed by young innovators using modern technologies during the inauguration of the Launchpad Innovation Centre. He said that he had performed the Bhoomi Poojan of the centre last year, and it is a matter of great satisfaction to see the innovative ideas and modern thinking of the youth at the time of its inauguration.
Interaction with Startup Entrepreneurs
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also interacted with young entrepreneurs who have launched startups based on their innovative ideas. He asked them about the sectors they are working in and encouraged them by saying that if one’s intent is right, success in any endeavour is certain.
Director of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, Subhash S. Joshi, informed that the Launchpad: Incubation and Innovation Centre has been established through the joint collaboration of IITI Drishti CPS Foundation (the Technology Translation and Research Park of IIT Indore) and the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) under the Department of Science and Technology. The centre aims to promote deep-tech innovation, high-impact startups, advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies, while strengthening collaboration between industry and academia.
Discussion with Entrepreneurs from IT Companies
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also held discussions with entrepreneurs from various companies working in the field of information technology. He urged them to provide opportunities for young professionals in their companies and create more employment opportunities. He said that the youth of the country possess modern ideas and innovative thinking, and India is steadily emerging as the fourth-largest economy in the world.
‘Launchpad: Incubation and Innovation Centre’ – A Major Initiative
Established at the IT Park in Sinhasa, Indore, the centre has been developed over an area of approximately 10,000 square feet. It includes 5,000 square feet of co-working and incubation space, along with 5,000 square feet of advanced laboratory infrastructure.
The Intelligent Manufacturing Lab at the centre will provide facilities for product prototyping, testing and validation. The centre will support the entire innovation lifecycle—from idea generation to commercialisation. It will provide technological and institutional support to startups, researchers, MSMEs and innovators in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Industry 4.0, Robotics, Digital Healthcare and Advanced Manufacturing.
Centre aims to nurture 100 startups over the next seven years
With an infrastructure investment of about Rs 10 crore and Rs 20 crore provision for startup support, the centre aims to nurture 100 startups over the next seven years and generate 200 to 300 employment opportunities.
The initiative will play an important role in promoting deep-tech innovation, encouraging high-impact startups, strengthening the state’s capabilities in advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies, and enhancing collaboration between industry and academia.
