MP: Lav Kush's birthplace Karila Dham will be developed, says CM Mohan Yadav; participates in Rang Panchami Mela Mahotsav

MP: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Karila Dham in Ashoknagar district is a unique confluence of faith, belief, and devotion. At this sacred site, Mata Sita is seated with her two sons, Luv and Kush. This is the only unique temple in the country where Sita is worshipped with her two sons. Most temples in the country are dedicated to Lord Shri Ram. Karila Dham is also the birthplace of Luv and Kush, witnessing their childhood pranks. A plan will be developed for the overall development of this sacred site. 

CM was addressing devotees at the Rangpanchami Mela Mahotsav at Karila Dham in Ashoknagar district on Sunday. CM also had darshan of Mata Janaki at Karila Dham and presented the district with 50 development projects worth Rs 115 crore. This included the inauguration of 11 development projects costing Rs 57 crore 3 lakh and the groundbreaking ceremony for 39 development projects costing Rs 58 crore 32 lakh.

CM said that Mata Sita is a symbol of patience, courage, and self-respect. When we talk about women's empowerment, Mata Sita comes to mind. Sita gave the message that a woman's self-respect is the greatest power. 



CM said that Madhya Pradesh has also received special affection from the eminent personality of Lord Rama. He spent 11 years of his exile in Chitrakoot. The Madhya Pradesh government is developing the Ram Van Gaman Vath. Places where Lord Rama's feet have touched are being developed as pilgrimage sites.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that devotees come to Karila Dham with faith to visit Mata Janaki. Mata Janaki fulfills the wishes of devotees. Mata Sita is the goddess of strength and valor. The story of Maharishi Valmiki, Sita, and Luv-Kush is connected to this sacred place.



Performed Rituals at the Janaki Temple

CM performed rituals at the Janaki Temple in Karila Dham. He also played drums and blew conch shells in the temple premises. He also played Holi with flowers with the devotees. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the approval of a 10-kilometer road from Deepnakheda village to Karila Dham. He directed the Collector to prepare an action plan for the overall development of the Karila Dham shrine. The CM visited an exhibition organized by women's self-help groups at the event venue and interacted with the women from the groups.



Women honored on International Women's Day

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honored seven women from the district for their outstanding work in various fields. These included Dr. Amita Sethi in the field of education, Naina Sharma in the field of religion, Ms Poonam Raghuvanshi in the field of sports, Vineeta Sahu in the field of environment, Gayatri Sharma in the field of self-realization, Chhaya Bais in the field of health, and Kulwinder Kaur in the field of social service.
