Amidst the ongoing turmoil surrounding the Rajya Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh, former Union Minister and Congress veteran Arun Yadav has now also declined to contest. Speaking at an event in Burhanpur, Arun Yadav stated, "I am not a candidate." Previously, several Congress leaders, including Digvijaya Singh and Jitu Patwari, have announced their withdrawal from their candidacies.

Regarding the Rajya Sabha elections, Congress National Secretary Kunal Chaudhary said, "A decision will be taken regarding the Rajya Sabha seat from Madhya Pradesh which is in the interest of the state. Deliberations are ongoing in the Delhi High Command regarding the candidature. The Congress party is a democratic party, responsibilities are not decided on one's own."

Chaudhary said, "All the senior Congress leaders of the state have the magnanimity to express their views. An appropriate decision will be taken for the state and the Constitution."

He said, BJP is more concerned about the Congress than itself. BJP has made preparations for horse trading. Congress is alert with its front at every level, Kunal Chaudhary added.

BJP state spokesperson Ajay Singh Yadav said, "There is no leadership left in the Congress party. All officials and leaders are retreating due to failed leadership. The withdrawal of Congress members from Delhi to the state, who fought for positions through factionalism, is proof of this. Congress is not afraid of the BJP, but of its own party."
