MP: Unique Initiative by CM Dr. Mohan Yadav in Krishak Kalyan Varsh-2026: Agriculture Cabinet to be Held at Tribal-Dominated Village Nagalwadi in Barwani

MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that continuous efforts are being made in the interest of farmers during the Krishak Kalyan Varsh being observed in the state. He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to make the state’s food providers self-reliant and to double their income. 

As part of this initiative, the first Agriculture Cabinet meeting of the Krishak Kalyan Varsh will be held on Monday, March 2, in Nagalwadi, a tribal-dominated village in Barwani district. Important decisions in the interest of farmers will be taken from Nagalwadi itself. 

The entire Council of Ministers will spend the day in the village, where the Agriculture Cabinet meeting will be held. A dialogue with intellectuals and farmers will also be held, along with an exhibition focused on agriculture and tribal welfare.

Nagalwadi, with a population of approximately 6,000, is a predominantly tribal village. The Agriculture Cabinet meeting, to be chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, is expected to prove decisive not only for Barwani district but for the entire Nimar region. 

The 800-year-old Bhilat Dev Temple located in Nagalwadi holds special significance in the faith and traditions of the tribal community. After the Cabinet meeting, the entire Council of Ministers will offer prayers at the temple.

Following the Agriculture Cabinet meeting, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will interact with farmers and intellectuals. During the dialogue, the government’s initiatives and schemes for the welfare of the state and its farmers will be shared, while suggestions, expectations, and views of farmers and intellectuals regarding regional development will also be gathered. An exhibition showcasing tribal development and agriculture-based growth will be set up at the venue.

CM and members of the Council of Ministers will also participate in the traditional Bhagoria Haat at Julwania, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the tribal community. Apart from the Cabinet meeting, all associated programs will prominently display elements of tribal traditions.
