MP: Will Rani Durgavati Sanctuary Nauradehi Become Third Home for Cheetahs, What CM Mohan Yadav Told?

MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Rani Durgavati Sanctuary (Nauradehi) is going to become the third home for cheetahs. Cheetahs will soon be released there as well. 

CM Dr. Yadav said that cheetahs are flourishing rapidly in Madhya Pradesh. With the recent birth of five new cubs, the cheetah family has become even more prosperous. He said that the state government will release cheetahs in Rani Durgavati Sanctuary (Nauradehi) in about two months. With this, Madhya Pradesh will have three homes for cheetahs. CM also said that crocodiles/gharial and turtles will be released in various water bodies so that the state’s biodiversity can become even richer.

Pachmarhi to be Developed as Best Environmental Model

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Pachmarhi has been certified as a Green Destination by a German international environmental organisation. He said this is a result of ongoing efforts to develop tourism in Madhya Pradesh. Pachmarhi is the first place in India to receive such certification. The state will develop Pachmarhi as a model for exemplary environmental standards in the country.

CM said that by winning the T-20 Cricket World Cup, the Indian cricket team once again waved the flag of success. Dr. Yadav was addressing ministers before the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. 

Helpline/Control Room Established for Residents in Gulf Countries

Referring to the current situation in Middle East (Gulf countries), CM said that 24×7 helpline/control rooms have been established at Madhya Pradesh Bhavan, New Delhi, and Vallabh Bhavan (Secretariat), Bhopal, to assist residents from state. Residents of Madhya Pradesh who are in Gulf countries for study, employment, business, tourism, or other reasons, and need any assistance, can contact these control rooms. All steps are being taken to ensure safe return of residents to India. Thousands of residents have already returned safely.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated and extended best wishes to both candidates from Madhya Pradesh who secured places in the top ten of the merit list in the recently declared Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) 2026 results. He said that this year, several students from the state have been selected for various positions such as IAS, IPS, IRS and others in the UPSC examination.

CM told the ministers that the Jal Ganga Sanvardhan campaign for water conservation in Madhya Pradesh was appreciated by Union Water Resources Minister CR Patil. The Union minister said during a video conference on March 5 that Madhya Pradesh, through community participation, is presenting the best example of water conservation and sustainable water management in the country.

CM said that digital registration of documents has begun in Madhya Pradesh. Approximately 1.6 million documents are registered in the state every year. Although it is a huge task, it will be completed within the set timeframe. 

Dr. Yadav told ministers that the Madhya Pradesh government will provide a bonus of Rs 40 per quintal on wheat procurement at minimum support price (MSP). To promote pulse production, a bonus of Rs 600 per quintal will be given for urad procurement. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in India to take this step for urad.
