UP: Ayodhya to witness a historic and spiritual celebration; President Droupadi Murmu to install 'Shri Ram Yantra' at Ram Temple on March 19
Lucknow/Ayodhya: The holy city of Ayodhya is once again poised to witness a historic and spiritual celebration. On March 19, the 'Shri Ram Yantra' will be formally installed at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, with the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, attending as the Chief Guest.
This event is being organized on Varsha Pratipada—considered the beginning of the Hindu New Year—and on the first day of Chaitra Navratri.
Preparations for this grand ceremony are being undertaken jointly by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the Trust, stated that the Shri Ram Yantra will be installed on the second floor of the temple, and approximately 7,000 people have been invited to attend the ceremony.
Yantra was sent to Ayodhya by Shankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswati
According to the Trust, the Shri Ram Yantra was sent to Ayodhya about two years ago by tJagadguru Shankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswai via a ceremonial procession (Shobha Yatra). Based on Vedic mathematics and geometric patterns, this Yantra is revered as a symbol of positive energy.
Currently, regular worship of the Yantra is being performed in the presence of Lord Ram. A nine-day Vedic ritual, preceding the installation ceremony, has already commenced, with learned Acharyas (scholars) from South India, Kashi, and Ayodhya participating in the proceedings.
President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Ayodhya around 11:00 AM, where she will be welcomed by Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Subsequently, she will perform puja and offer prayers within the temple complex. The main installation ritual for the Shri Ram Yantra will be conducted during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat at 11:55 AM.
Spiritual guru from Kerala, Mata Amritanandamayi, will arrive in Ayodhya
Approximately 300 saints (spiritual leaders) and distinguished guests are expected to attend the event. The spiritual guru from Kerala, Mata Amritanandamayi, will arrive in Ayodhya by train accompanied by nearly 1,000 of her devotees. Additionally, representatives of various institutions that contributed to the construction of the temple, as well as the artisans involved in the project, have been invited. To ensure a secure and orderly ceremony, special passes embedded with QR codes will be issued to all guests.
Mobile phones, weapons, and security personnel will not be permitted inside the temple complex. Only invited Sikh devotees will be granted entry while carrying a Kirpan. On behalf of the State Government, special attention is being paid to the cleanliness, decoration, and other arrangements within the temple complex.
For this occasion, arrangements have been made to provide falahari (fruit-based) meals for guests, while darshan of Ram Lalla will continue as usual for general devotees; however, temporary changes to the schedule are possible.
