What Iran Said About Granting Safe Passage to Indian Ships in Strait of Hormuz
Iran's Ambassador to India, Mohammad Fatahi, has stated that Iran will grant safe passage to India through the Strait of Hormuz.
Journalists had questioned the Iranian Ambassador on this issue, asking whether India would be granted safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. In response, Mohammad Fatahi said, "...Yes, indeed, because India is our friend."
He added, "We believe that Iran and India are friends and share common interests. As Iran's Ambassador to India, I assure you that the Indian government will assist Iran in various sectors in the aftermath of this conflict."
Fatahi said, "You will witness this unfold within two to three hours." According to him, India and Iran have long shared a relationship characterized by cooperation and trust.
Two Indian workers killed in Oman
Meanwhile, two Indian workers were killed in Oman's Sohar province after a drone crashed. According to reports, security forces had shot down a drone, and the accident occurred when its debris fell to the ground.
Amidst attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel—and the ensuing conflict—Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz has heightened concerns among nations worldwide regarding oil supplies.
