AI-based certificate courses to be launched in 68 colleges across Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with IIT Delhi, how it will benefit students?

The MP Department of Higher Education is undertaking a significant initiative to introduce job-oriented courses in government colleges across Madhya Pradesh, aiming to provide employment-focused education to students currently pursuing traditional academic programs. 

The Department is launching online certificate courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 'FinTech with AI' across 68 government colleges within the state. This includes 55 'Prime Minister Colleges of Excellence' and 13 autonomous colleges. The intake capacity has been doubled in light of the success achieved during the first phase.

These courses will be conducted in collaboration with IIT Delhi. Students will begin to benefit from this facility starting from the new academic session of 2026-27. The Department of Higher Education has completed all necessary preparations for the launch of these courses.

Target to Train 2,000 Students

The Department of Higher Education has set a target to train 2,000 students this year through the online certificate courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 'FinTech with AI'. In the initial phase, the target was set at 1,000 students; this figure has now been doubled for the current year.

Students to Benefit from Courses Starting from the New Academic Session

Anupam Rajan, Additional Chief Secretary of Higher Education, stated that students pursuing traditional subjects in colleges will now also be provided with access to job-oriented training courses. This will enable them to secure employment more easily.
