MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that board examinations are an important milestone in everyone’s life, as their results play a crucial role in shaping the future. He noted that the quality education being imparted in Madhya Pradesh is steadily brightening students' futures.

CM declared the results of the Class 10, Class 12 and Diploma in Pre-School Education (DPSE) Main Examination 2026 conducted by the MP Board of Secondary Education, Bhopal, on Wednesday, at Samvad Bhavan (Chief Minister’s Residence).

The Class 10 board result stood at 73.42%, while the Class 12 result was 76.01%. Students from government schools surpassed their previous records, with the Class 12 result marking the best performance in the past 16 years. 

Govt Schools Outperform Private in Board Results

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that continuous improvements in the education system of government schools have enabled them to outperform private schools in board examinations.

The Class 10 examinations were conducted between February and March, with 8.97 lakh students appearing. The overall pass percentage was 73.42%, with 69.31% boys and 77.52% girls passing. Government schools recorded a pass percentage of 76.80%, compared to 68.84% in private schools—an 8% gap in favour of government institutions.

A total of 378 students secured positions on the merit list, including 235 girls and 143 boys, once again highlighting the strong performance of girls.

Among districts, Anuppur topped with a 93.85% pass rate, followed by Alirajpur at 92.14%.



Pratibha Singh Solanki scored 499 out of 500 in Class 10

Pratibha Singh Solanki from Saraswati Gyan Mandir High School, Gunour (Panna district), secured the top rank in Class 10 by scoring 499 out of 500 marks. The Chief Minister congratulated her, remarking that Panna has produced yet another ‘diamond of talent’.

The Class 12 examinations were held from 10 February to 7 March, with 6, 89,746 students appearing. The overall pass percentage of 76.01% is the highest in the last 16 years. This year, 72.39% boys and 79.41% girls passed, with girls once again outperforming boys. Government schools achieved a pass percentage of 80.43%, significantly higher than 69.67% in private schools

A total of 221 students made it to the merit list, including 158 girls and 63 boys. Among districts, Jhabua ranked first with 93.23%, followed by Anuppur with 93.04%. 

Bhopal dominates Class 12 merit rankings

In Class 12, Khushi Rai (Government Subhash Excellence Higher Secondary School, Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal) and Chandni Vishwakarma (Gurudev Shiksha Kendra Higher Secondary School, Neelbad, Bhopal) jointly topped by scoring 494 out of 500 marks. Bhopal dominated the Class 12 merit rankings.

Unsuccessful students will be given a second opportunity

CM congratulated all successful students and emphasised that hard work is essential for success. He encouraged students who could not pass not to lose hope, stating that this is not the end but just one stage in life. He announced that unsuccessful students will be given a second opportunity, with the ‘Second Chance Examination’ scheduled to begin on May 7, ensuring that no student loses an academic year.

MP first state to offer a comprehensive second-chance system

Madhya Pradesh has become the first state to offer a comprehensive second-chance system for all subjects. Tribal-dominated districts performed exceptionally well, showcasing the talent and potential of students from these regions. Girls continued to outperform boys, reflecting the positive impact of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative. For the first time, 100% results were declared, with no student’s result withheld. Artificial Intelligence (AI) was used in the result preparation.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the results present a promising picture of a “Golden Madhya Pradesh,” marked by improved learning outcomes, strong rural participation, and girls leading the way.
