Madhya Pradesh: How Shri Hanuman Lok in Pandhurna will secure a prominent place on religious and spiritual map
The Madhya Pradesh government is continuously working to preserve and promote pilgrimage sites, traditions, folk arts and spiritual heritage, considering them a foundation for nation-building.
On the auspicious occasion of Prabhu Shri Ram’s birth festival, the first phase of Shri Hanuman Lok, the sacred abode dedicated to the beloved devotee of Raghukulnandan Shri Ram, was inaugurated at Jamsawali in Pandhurna.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav believes that Pavan Putra Hanuman, the embodiment of immense strength, supreme wisdom, compassion and devotion to Shri Ram, symbolises public welfare, diligence, humility, service and dedication.
In the first phase of Shri Hanuman Lok, the main entrance gate and plaza have been constructed. A ‘Chiranjivi Path’ has also been developed from the main gate to the temple complex, along which statues depicting various forms of Hanuman Ji have been installed.
Second phase of Shri Hanuman Lok will soon be completed
On the initiative of CM Dr. Mohan Yadav, the second phase of Shri Hanuman Lok will soon be completed at a cost of Rs 65.24 crore. This phase will include the construction of Bhakti Sagar and a Pravachan Hall, a Yagyashala, parking facilities, a Sanskrit college, a Bhojshala and a Dharamshala.
In the coming years, Shri Hanuman Lok will emerge not only as a centre of faith but will also provide a new direction to the region’s religious and spiritual economy. The influx of devotees is expected to boost local trade, employment and tourism, giving fresh momentum to the district’s economy.
Chhindwara and Pandhurna are widely known as major centres for orange production in the state. With the development of Shri Hanuman Lok, Pandhurna is set to secure an important place on the religious and spiritual map of Madhya Pradesh.
Major initiatives to promote religious and spiritual activities
Under the leadership of CM, several major initiatives are being undertaken across the state to promote religious and spiritual activities. Along with Shri Mahakal Lok, projects such as Ahilya Lok in Maheshwar, Pashupatinath Lok in Mandsaur, Pitambara Mai Mahalok in Datia, Parshuram Lok in Janapav, Devi Mahalok in Salkanpur, Jugal Kishore Sarkar Lok in Panna, Baba Baijnath Lok in Agar-Malwa and Maa Narmada Mahalok in Amarkantak are being developed.
