“Project Harit Palna”: A Gift of Greenery to New Mothers in Chhattisgarh
Raipur: In alignment with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai’s commitment to environmental conservation, the Raipur District Administration is effectively advancing the “Project Harit Palna” (Green Cradle) campaign. Under this innovative initiative, new mothers in government hospitals are being presented with fruit-bearing saplings as a gift, ensuring that the arrival of a new life is accompanied by the birth of a new tree on Earth.
Under the guidance of Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, and as part of this campaign, a total of 20 saplings were presented on Thursday to four new mothers—two in Birgaon and two in Abhanpur. To date, 52,205 saplings have been gifted to 10,441 new mothers.
This endeavor fosters a connection with nature alongside the experience of motherhood. Project Harit Palna not only makes the beginning of a newborn's life memorable but also lays the foundation for greenery and a pristine environment for future generations.
